Q. How do you start your day? Do you have a morning routine?
A. I start my day everyday with my oats, berries, almonds, vanilla protein powder, and a dash of cinnamon with water.
Q. How long have you been training?

A. To feel accomplished
Q. What was your body like before you started training?
A. I was ‘skinny fat’, I had no idea how to eat back then.
Q. How do you keep yourself motivated and on-track through the grueling dieting in the last few weeks?
A. The visual results. Nothing tastes as good as ‘healthy’ feels!!
Q. How do you handle the stress of it all?
A. To be honest…its a stress reliever.
Q. Do you get more attention from the people now that you are in such good shape?
A. No doubt!
Q. What do you feel is the most important thing athlete can have in order to be successful in this sport?
A. Strong support system. You can accomplish anything.
Q. What is your favorite energy/pre-workout supplement? Protein supplement?
A. I’m a Redline fan, pre-workout. Post workout is Light Muscle Milk, Cookies and Cream.
Q. How many days a week do you work out?
A. 4 days a week using a split routine.
Q. How much weight will you normally gain during the off-season?
A. 15lbs or so
Q. How about tanning/makeup/hair preparation for a contest. Can you tell that I’m still overwhelmed?
A. I get my spray tans compliments of TaraDise Tanning(Tara Koch Knorr), and I have a personal hair and makeup artist(Renea Leiby)
Q. What is your philosophy on diet?
A. It’s 90% diet that’s for sure.
Q. Any holiday eating tips?
A. I use the holidays as just that, a holiday away from my daily monotony! Then right back on!
Q. What kind of workout program do you follow?
A. 4 day split routine. Day 1-chest and triceps, Day 2-back and biceps, Day 3-legs, Day 4-shoulders and abs. Rest Day then start over.
Q. What about working out while you are on the road?
A. I take my elastic bands and dumbbells with me just in case.
Q. Do you believe in workout programs like Insanity or P90X?
A. I think they are great programs for anyone and everyone to do. Especially for people who workout at home.
Q. Looking back on what you have accomplished so far, what is one thing you would change if you could, knowing what you do now?
A. I would have started doing it earlier.
Q. Is it not very hard to exercise and lift on such a low calorie diet? I am talking about the pre-contest diet. I know you follow a very low calorie pre-contest diet. Don’t you get hungry?
A. I don’t get hungry, I just crave something different. Nothing gives more motivation than putting on your suit and taking a look in the mirror.
Q. Who is your favorite bodybuilder, fitness model, and/or athlete?
A. IFBB Bikini Pro Jennifer Chapman and USBF Figure Pro Bren Norris O’Neil. My all time favorite is definitely Arnold…I don’t think there is a single fitness buff that hasn’t been a fan of him in his prime.
Q. What is your favorite healthy meal?
A. All natural peanut butter on anything!!

A. High and low carb rotations

A. My kids are my everything! They are right there with me at every show and come along to workout with me when they can.
