Q. How do you start your day? Do you have a morning routine?
A. 6am Stretching for about 20mins, have my morning breakfast, oatmeal, blueberry’s, 4 white eggs
Q. How long have you been training?
A. 11 months since I wake up from my paralysis
Q. What made you get into Fitness and Competition?
A. I was involved in several car accidents,also I slip and fall that falling sent again straight to the hospital while I still was recovering from the car accidents. The pain that I was experiencing was insane bad, then at the same time I got Bell’s palsy is a paralysis or weakness of the muscles on one side of my face and also felt it on the right side of my body. Damage to the facial nerve that controled my muscles on one side of the face causes that side of my face to droop Drooling,
I even couldnt see right such as excessive tearing or a dry eye, I Loss the ability to taste, feeling Pain behind my ear was awful. I got out of the hospital, then I star going to Phisical theraphy hard times of my life, I said to myself that “I wont stay like that!” I said that I believe in miracles and I will star working out to have and feel my body back, eat right and have my normal life back!! So working out and eating healthy keep me here ! Keep me up! Everyday to me is a blessing, is a blessing to lift weights!
Q. How many people have you encouraged into the sport since you started?
A. Since all my friends and family saw me the way I was “Sick” and the hard time that I was experiencing People saw my recovery slowly, and since I got back to normal I can say that my life have changed no only for me, for others out there everyone keep on asking me how I recovered so well , and I tell them my history
Q. What was your body like before you started training?
A. It was just OK, flabby, fat here and there, cellulite, lol
Q. How do you keep yourself motivated and on-track through the grueling dieting in the last few weeks?
A. My main motivation is myself and my health that is how I keep myself on track everyday of my life, to me I don’t pass through the Grueling diets I enjoy eating healthy because is good for me and my body =)
Q. How do you handle the stress of it all?
A. I don’t believe in stress anymore! I believe that only us can control our emotions and our daily basic life Is up to us to be stress out for something we cant fix or go with the flow and look life in a different positive way.
Q. Do you get more attention from the people now that you are in such good shape?
A. Oh yeah!! Its been CRAZY!! I feel famous but I am not!! lol!They all want to know
what type of exercises I am doing!! my routines, everything but I am not a trainer I belong to
a fitness Academy called Bombshell! Shannon Dey who is my coach she is the one who trains me and give me the right exercise.
Q. What do you feel is the most important thing athlete can have in order to be successful in this sport?
A. To me is Determination, decide what you Want and commitment, passion and focus are my key to succeed in this type of sport you have to have total control of your mind! And I do have it.
Q. What is your favorite energy/pre-workout supplement? Protein supplement?
A. I take VPX sport supplements whey protein
Q. How many days a week do you work out?
A. 5 to 6, the day number 6 I jog at the beach
Q. How many exercises per body part do you typically do in a workout?
A. Depending, i do like 8-10 different tipes of excercises per body part, sometimes I do more ore less reps!
Q. How much weight will you normally gain during the off-season?
A. 8 pounds I keep it always clean, and I dont go crazy while im off off-season
Q. How about tanning/makeup/hair preparation for a contest. Can you tell that I’m still overwhelmed?
A. Yes! It is!! I do my makeup,also my hair, when i am prepering for the constest I meditated more so I can relax and focus on me!!
Q. What is your philosophy on diet?
A. To me I dont look like I am dieting I look at it as a new life style if you are dieting and you hate yourself because you get bored of what you eat so the stop doing it!! I am a latina and I love cooking so I made delicious diets receipts
Q. Any holiday eating tips?
A. Keep it clean 1 eat healthy dont mess something that you have been working on so hard for months! its no worth it
Q. What kind of workout program do you follow?
A. I have one of the most intense workout programs in the world!, Only champions can do it or people who really want to make a change!!
Q. What about working out while you are on the road?
A. I am working on becoming an actress , TV hostes or have my own morning or evening workout healthy show on TV =)
Q. Do you believe in workout programs like Insanity or P90X?
A. Yes I do I think those workout are great.
Q. What competitions have you participated in and what were the results (bikini/fitness/figure)?
A. My 1st fitness competion “bikini division” was Miss Bikini Universe 2011, I competed with more than 975 gorgeous girls and I have the blessing of placing 8th!! Then i went to the Fort Lauderdale Cup 2011 and I 2 place over all twice!! I qualified to go Nationals!! Then there I place 8th, placing 8th and not taking the procard home made me feel crave more my success on this sport the closer you are the better I will feel when I get my pro-card! I am extremely close to get my procard then keep rocking it..!!
Q. What do you wish you had known before you started doing shows?
A. Well I wished to have more knowledge about people who were around me! I was talking and being photographed by important people on this bussiness and I did not even have a clue who was who lol!
Q. Looking back on what you have accomplished so far, what is one thing you would change if you could, knowing what you do now?
A. I will try to change people mentality about keeping themselves looking fit and healthy but unfortuanaly we all live on a word with different life perpectives, so everyone does whatever they want I would love to have a healhty,fit convention to talk about what’s good out there for us
Q. What is one of the biggest sacrifices you’ve made, and was it worth it?
A. Come to US and leave my family there, being here alone inst been easy but I am still here fighting with life and living everyday
Q. How much this kind of active life style, being (bikini/fitness/figure) athlete changed your life?
A. Wow this is a tough one! As an athlete I have to say that It changed it a lot I mean for good!!
Q. Who is your favorite bodybuilder, fitness model, and/or athlete?
A. Shannon Dey, Jaimme Baird
Q. What is your favorite healthy meal?
A. Love Salmon, with a salad full of different tipes of vegetables
Q. Favorite guilty indulgence?
A. I indulge myself with a sweet peace of white chocolate,I feel more pleasure while im eating it with my eyes close
Q. What is your favorite exercise?
A. Glutes =)
Q. What made you get into Fitness and Competition?
A. After my recovery the only thing that was on my mind was I wanted to let the world know that whatever you set your mind too if you go hard for it you will get it, the word imposible doesnt exist in my mind so I jumped on one of the most Fitness competition Miss bikini Universe then I became a part of the bombshell team NPC athlete
Q. What are your future plans?
A. Get my pro-card, sign a contract with TV show ” my own show ” that way I can help tones of people with my workouts tips,routines,nutrition.
