Q. Lets start here, what is your name?
A. Angela Coleman
Q. How long have you been training?
A. I have been working out with weights for almost 10 years now!
Q. What made you get into Fitness and Competition?
A. I was always active as a kid, but later on in life after 5 months of marriage my husband was deployed to Scania, Iraq. This drove me to start training for my 1st figure competition.
Q. What was your body like before you started training?
A. My body has always carried a lot of natural muscle, especially in my upper body! I was born with a natural athletic build and have always been good at sports.
Q. How do you keep yourself motivated and on-track through the grueling dieting in the last few weeks?
A. My physique changes almost DAILY in the last couple of weeks… I’m not sure this happens to everyone, but those changes alone tell me I am getting to where I need to be and motivates me to keep pushing until the end!

Q. What competitions have you participated in and what were the results (bikini/fitness/figure)?
A. 2010 INBF Missouri All Naturals- 1st place Open Figure Short, 1st Open Overall (earned WNBF Pro Card)

Q. Is it not very hard to exercise and lift on such a low calorie diet? I am talking about the pre-contest diet. I know you follow a very low calorie pre-contest diet. Don’t you get hungry?
A. My workouts and cardio start to suffer the last couple weeks of prep. My body responds very well to a lot of food, so I don’t get cut short until a few weeks before the show. It’s when the portions of food and carbs start to dwindle I notice right away. I get more tired than hungry.
Q. Who is your favorite bodybuilder, fitness model, and/or athlete?
A. Definitely IFBB Figure Pro Erin Stern, she is the total package of strength, beauty, confidence and grace.
Q. Favorite guilty indulgence?
A. Cookies or Brownies!
Q. What are your future plans?
A. In the short term, I plan on building my business as a personal trainer, competing at the 2012 NPC Jr. USA’s in May and hopefully earn my IFBB Figure Pro Card this year
In the long term I hope to compete successfully as a Pro then start a family one day
Q. What do you want our readers to know about you that they couldn’t find out from seeing you on stage or in print?
A. As a MO state licensed Massage Therapist, I offer a massage called Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy. It means “foot pressure” so yes, I walk on my clients’ back
Great deep tissue massage!
