Q. Lets start here, what is your name?
A.
 Zdenka Cerna

Q. How long have you been training?
A.
 Since 2005

Q. What made you get into Fitness and Competition?
A.
 I was not satisfied with my body, so I needed to change it and get in shape to like my body.

Q. How many people have you encouraged into the sport since you started?
A.
 Many many many!!! that´s my job! ;) i´m fitness consultant and help other people to get the motivation to improve their shape. (look at my homepage: Cerna-Personal-Training | home)

Q. What was your body like before you started training?
A.
 I had a bad symmetry, my upper body was too thin, my butt, hips and legs too fat :(

Q. How do you keep yourself motivated and on-track through the grueling dieting in the last few weeks?
A.
 When i´m looking in the mirror, i´m more satisfied with myself. when i see, more people are looking at me on the street or in gym, so i know, the preparation goes on 

Q. How do you handle the stress of it all?
A.
 To shop ;) I choose a nice new bikini or a pair of incredible shoes for the stage.. :)

Q. Do you get more attention from the people now that you are in such good shape?
A.
 Yes, as i have already mentioned it, that´s really much more attention you get from other people

Q. What do you feel is the most important thing athlete can have in order to be successful in this sport?
A.
 Passion. the will to be in shape, no matter how high the price is and what you have to sacrifice

Q. What is your favorite energy/pre-workout supplement? Protein supplement?
A.
 Caffeine concentrate and gold whey protein from WEIDER (Weider Global Nutrition – Nutrition for Champs)

Q. How much weight will you normally gain during the off-season?
A.
 I don´t gain any weight, actually i lost weight, because i lost muscles in the off-season

Q. Looking back on what you have accomplished so far, what is one thing you would change if you could, knowing what you do now?
A.
 I would believe in myself more to emanate more confidence. that´s very important for the competition-judge. you must belive that you are the number one even if you are not ;)

Q. What is one of the biggest sacrifices you’ve made, and was it worth it?
A.
 There was no sacrifice, on the contrary – i have got a lot of benefits due to my bodybuilding career

Q. What do you feel is the most important thing a bodybuilder/fitness/figure/bikini can have in order to be successful in this sport?
A.
 I think, you must know your body, its possibilities and limits to make a right decision about the right competition-category for your shape (i mean bikini, figure,..etc.)

Q. Is it not very hard to exercise and lift on such a low calorie diet? I am talking about the pre-contest diet. I know you follow a very low calorie pre-contest diet. Don’t you get hungry?
A.
 No, you will used to it after few days, i have even more strength and energy the last day before a contest

Q. Does your social life include others that are not into fitness or competition?
A.
 Of course, it does include both, i think that´s important

Q. How much this kind of active life style, being (bikini/fitness/figure) athlete changed your life?
A.
 It has learned me more sensitivity to the signals of my body and more discipline at all.

Q. Who is your favorite bodybuilder, fitness model, and/or athlete?
A.
 I really like and admire the girls from Oympia!

Q. What is your favorite healthy meal?
A.
 Protein shake from WEIDER, definitely

Q. What is your favorite exercise?
A.
 I like almost every exercise, but i hate chin-ups!!

Q. What is that one body part that you just can’t seem to bring up or make it look like you want?
A.
 My calves could be better

Q. What is the best asset of your physique/body?
A.
 I have enough strength to do many things on myself, without help

Q. What do you want our readers to know about you that they couldn’t find out from seeing you on stage or in print?
A.
 I really love it to be a role-model for a lot of people, they want to get in a better shape, i like motivating and inspiring others to be better, discovering the possibilities of their bodies, that´s my passion and my mission, too!
