Maintain during injury
A visit to the doctor today revealed a strain that will keep me out of action for 2 to 4 weeks. What is best way to maintain muscle during inactivity? I really need total rest and can not do anything active.

The strain is in the groin/lower left ab/male reproductive parts area. Happened a week ago lifting heavy dumbells to do some shrugs. Had a wicked pain shoot down the left ab area and into the left "family jewel". Tried to ignore it for days b/c it was not a continual pain. It was just annoying. Did not have hernia, but doc said no exercise for two weeks and wait one month to lift heavy. I am just trying to keep protein intake at good level. At least 1g per pound of body weight until I can get back in the gym.
