    bigblue, I play in a golf tournament every year in East Texas in August, temp. is usually over 100, it is hot and you can't drink enough water

    Since I've been a member of this forum I bought a 1L Nalgene bottle and carry it with me everywhere. I've gotten in the habit of drinking 3-4 liters a day.

    It sucks having to take a leak every half hour, but I'm sure my body is thanking me.

    Is it possible to be drinking to much water? I hear you can throw your body chemistry off. Is that a possibility or am I being ridiculous.

    Drink 16-32oz of water immediately upon waking. You lose a lot of water while sleeping. Replenish it ASAP!

    Half of your body weight in water seems like an awful lot, though...

    I like to add a spoon or two of table salt to keep the fluid isotonic. Especially on hot days when you drinking and peeing so much, you want to replace not just the fluid.
