Get Sexy Ripped Abs Quick and Easy
Everyone, guy and girl, has dreamed of having sexy flat abs, toned and well defined. It is not about mere vanity at all because it is about feeling sexy and confident all from having great abs!
So everyone dreams about this but guess what, very few people actually have them! Really, only about 3 in 10 people have toned abs that will show through. If you want to be one of those 3 people, read on to learn how to get those sexy abs!
Despite what everyone tries to make everyone else think, it is really not that difficult to get a great six pack. It is actually more likely that people do this because they feel it is difficult or even impossible for themselves to get sexy abs. But realize this, if you know the best and easiest methods to getting toned abs, then all you have to do is stick with it and follow through. Even though some say it is impossible, it really is not and once you learn how, getting there will be that much easier.
The first thing that you need to understand is the role fat plays in your goal of getting sexy flat abs. You, like everyone else in the world, have belly fat. The only people who can honestly say they do not have belly fat are the ones who have flat toned abs. They have lost the belly fat and now can show off sexy abs and you can do the same.
You need to lose the belly fat that covers your ab muscles. Ignore what people tell you about ab machines, ab exercises or anything like that. They do not work, plain and simple. That is not what it is all about. It might seem like it makes sense since ab exercises are working your ab muscles but there is little connection.
One of the two main methods of getting sexy abs is to first establish a good foundation of healthy eating habits. That means no junk food, no fried food, no fast food, no sodas, no sports drinks, no junk, period. You need to eat fresh whole foods. This means fruits, vegetables, and high quality meats. Keep in mind, just because there is a label that says organic does not mean it is healthy.
There are plenty of processed organic foods out there and you will want to avoid processed foods period. Yes, it may seem extreme if your diet consisted of junk food, fast food and fried food. But if you want those sexy abs, this is what you are going to have to do. Once you cut those foods out and focus on fresh foods, you will begin to see yourself reduce the belly fat, and actually your body fat in general too.
The second method of getting sexy abs is to work out, focusing on burning fat and all body exercises. That is absolutely right, no matter how many crunches, sit-ups or other ab exercises you do, even if it totals to 500 per day, you will not get sexy abs. Very simply, ab exercises do not burn fat, so you will not see results.
The best workouts to do to get your sexy abs back are cardio and weight training. With both of these workouts, you will want to focus on more all-body exercises instead of isolating certain muscle groups. Cardio, such as running on a treadmill or a track, will burn fat and weight training will tone and define your muscles.
The truth to sexy abs does not even include ab machines so make sure to start with the foundation of great cardio, weight training and a healthy diet and you will see results quickly!

The proof is out there
Thanks for your insight Jerrywear, I can testify to your statements. In January of this year I weighed 300lbs so I started cutting all the garbage out of my diet. It was a difficult transaction but after about 2 weeks I got use to not having a bowl of ice-cream or a bag of chips during a movie. Now the craving is not even a part of my life anymore. I felt better after a month of dieting alone but then I started to run on my elliptical trainer every second day. Now I weigh 265lbs and feel great, I notice it in my face the most, but my jeans are loose again. My water intake was the most important component. Once I cut out juices and soda I even notice a difference in my skin as well.
I am on my way to being the 3 in 10 and all I am doing is light cardio and eating healthy.

Follow-up
Just wanted to follow up with my last post; today I weigh 233lbs and have definition in my stomach…finally. I have no issues eating clean and my cardio hasn’t been this good in years. I am just now getting back into free weights so I am ready to follow a more diligent program. Now it’s time to pack on some lean muscle! Take care.

Hello Fellow Ironmen,
Well I am finally in full swing of things. I was working my ass off with cardio and got down to 226lbs which was the least I have weighed in about 12 years. I was ripped but not very strong. Since getting back into weights and have really started to put on some pounds quickly. I weight about 245 now and am still gaining strength rapidly. I am especially happy about this because when I first started weights about 10 weeks ago I was really (I freak’n pathetic) weak. I was hardly lifting any weight at all, now I am working out 5 days a week and am damn thankful that muscle really does have memory. I should be back to my old self soon enough. Hope you guys are doing well with your own goals, and life is good. Take care and talk soon.

Hello again, I just thought I would read this article one more time. I just can’t seem to lose this last little bit of fat. I can feel all of the grooves in my abdomen muscles but it's just this little layer of fat is starting to piss me off. I guess I can’t be too upset because I eat like a freek’n horse now that I am lifting heavy again. I am still 245 however my muscle mass and lifts have all gone way up but so has my appetite. I heard that drinking a liter of water when you get the urge to eat will help suppress the appetite but that only lasts so long. I guess now that it’s winter I can focus more on lifting heavy and gaining muscle mass rather then cutting up. I’ll save that from spring.
Hey I also hear that a person trying to gain muscle mass should keep the cardio to a minimum as the body uses protein for fuel a lot quicker than it uses fat, is there some truth to this? I am boxing again too and that is intense cardio training. Thanks for listening, take care and talk soon.

While there is some truth to that statement it is not that cut and dry. The body will use any resource which is easily accessible and quick to burn. That includes carbs and glycogen. The truth of the matter is that your body will always use carbs and protein before it uses fat unless you trick it by dieting or restrict those two macros enough that it forces the body to use fat. But remember that your body will burn glycogen before it ever burns muscle.
Here is the reason to keep cardio to a limited amount during bulking.
1. More energy expenditure requires more nutrients for refueling meaning you will have to increase your calories even more.
2. When you decide to try cutting again your body will be adjusted to a higher amount of cardio meaning that your body will be conditioned to a certain amount and therefore you will require even more cardio to strip fat. Example: 1 hour cardio 5 days a week offseason / 2 hours a day 6 days a week cutting. Eventually you will have to do outrageous amounts of cardio to counter your body's conditioned state.
3. Cardio impedes strength gains. Your body must recover from everything including cardio. The more you beat it up the more rest you will need and eventually your strength will plateau and we all know how much strength goes hand and hand with muscle gain.
So I recommend a very limited amount of cardio in the offseason when trying to bulk up a bit. You can do it but keep it around 30-45 mins. 3 days a week.
Hope this helps.

Thanks bro, but while your at it...
Damn! That’s great info 300, thanks bro. I am not a bodybuilder (I wish), but I am a boxer so cardio is a must for me. I don’t run so much anymore as I use my cardio time to do pads and bag drills. But doing heavy weights in the am and boxing in the pm is why I eat like a horse.
I do have another question for you; I workout in the mornings on an empty stomach (only a pre-workout drink) then have a shake loaded with Isolate and Glycogen after. Is this counter-productive? I heard that working out on an empty stomach will help on shedding fat too, but I don’t want my body to eat protein, like at all, so am I doing the right thing? I don’t eat a big supper either so I don’t know how much carbs or glycogen my body has stored up for my morning workouts. If necessary I will start having a breakfast before my workouts. What are your thoughts?I really appreciate your help.
